As managing principal for Greenway Group, Parker ensures the integration of the consulting team. In this leadership position, Parker uses his unique background in design, operations, strategy, and marketing to strengthen Greenway Group’s ability to assist the A/E/C industry. His ability to lead the creation of integrated solutions enhances Greenway Group’s position as one of the country’s leading strategy consulting and business networking firms for the design and construction industry. He combines his expertise in firm operations as the former chief operating officer of Design Workshop with more than 20 years’ experience as director of sales and marketing to architects and designers at Steelcase.
His unique understanding of design and business is recognized throughout the building industry. Parker has authored several tools, articles, and processes that bridge communications, provide role clarity, and leverage the value of design throughout the project delivery process. He has consulted with building product manufacturers and worked with Fortune 500 companies as well as leading architecture and design firms. He is a frequent speaker, lecturer, and sales trainer.
Using his combined knowledge of design and business, Parker has developed numerous CEU accredited presentations for design professionals to assist them in their professional development. He has developed planning methodologies and metrics that assist architects and designers in positioning the value of design. Parker has been the keynote speaker at many industry and association events as well as a featured speaker for corporate sales and marketing development sessions. His articles have been published in DesignIntelligence and other association publications, and he has lectured at numerous architectural and design schools, including Harvard University, California College of Arts and Crafts, and Montana State University.
A registered architect, Parker is a former vice president of a leading Colorado architecture firm. He is a member of the AIA, an honorary member of IIDA, and an honorary fellow of ASID. Parker is a senior fellow of the Design Futures Council and has been awarded numerous honors, including the IIDA Star Award, the highest award given in recognition of outstanding leadership to the industry. He has a Master of Architecture degree from Montana State University and has continued his education through ongoing studies at Columbia University and the DDI Leadership and Assessment Program.
